Every moment can turn into a celebration with a touch of candles and flowers.
I believe that attention to detail makes moments even more magical. Today, I want to share my experience decorating two children’s events and talk about how this service can complement your joyful occasions.
Autumn event
I was invited to photograph a 10-year-old girl's birthday celebration. It was planned as a cozy celebration at home with a small number of guests. The apartment, naturally warm and filled with light, was already a perfect setting, but I suggested adding decor to bring out the autumn vibes.
I organized a small photo area with pumpkins and seasonal flowers, and in the background, I placed a poster with the birthday girl's name and age. These little touches instantly set the mood and reminded everyone of the season in which the celebration took place. The main decor colors were warm: brown in the baskets, shades of yellow and orange in the pumpkins and leaves I collected from the local botanical garden. Softly lit garlands added a cozy and magical glow to the room.
The decor even inspired the birthday girl to choose an outfit that made her look like a charming woodland elf.
Guests, inspired by the photo area, spent most of the evening there.
In addition, a beading workshop was arranged for the girls. Seated on the floor, as if on an autumn forest glade, they crafted jewelry, chatted, and laughed.
In addition to the photo zone, I decorated the area above the dining table with garlands made of dried leaves and incorporated pumpkins and flowers into the table setting. These simple yet vibrant accents transformed the space, making it more festive. This also influenced the resulting photos — each one captured the warmth and atmosphere of the celebration.
The celebration was such a success that by summer, I was asked to decorate and capture the next one.
Summer event
This time, I had the pleasure of decorating for two birthday celebrants – a one-year-old baby and his mother. My task was to thoughtfully design the decor and create spaces that would be comfortable and welcoming for both the little ones, who were still learning to walk, and the adult guests.
Since the event took place in the summer, the city park was chosen as the venue. This allowed us to set up a table for the guests, place blankets and soft pillows on the lawn where the little ones and their parents could relax, while the enough space around didn’t restrict the older children in their games.
Seasonal flowers and greenery were used, placed in glass jars and bottles as vases. The tableware was disposable but featured minimalist designs that matched the event's color palette—brown, blue, yellow, green, and white. I removed labels from glass drink bottles to reduce visual noise. A long piece of white cotton fabric served as the tablecloth, fully covering the table legs and cascading gently onto the grass.
Besides the blanket area, we created a small fabric tent where children could play and seek shade from the sun. This corner also became a delightful photo zone.
The second photo zone featured a kind of screen made from cotton and tulle fabrics. The materials were attached to a rope strung between trees using wooden clothespins. The top of the structure was decorated with a large origami bird.
All the zones were unified by a garland of white, light blue, and navy ribbons.
The event turned out to be warm, beautiful, and comfortable for guests of all ages. Here’s what the attendees said:
How beautiful!
No one will believe there was no dress code. It’s stunning!
What a delight!
How event styling comes together
You share your wishes, and I take care of everything—from conceptualizing the design to sourcing the decor!
It all starts with our conversation, where we discuss the event location (if needed, I can help find a venue), the format, the style you'd like to see, and the number of guests. After a detailed briefing, I create a presentation mood board that sketches out the decor, outlines my tasks and purchases, and provides an initial budget estimate.
I always strive to save your budget and reduce unnecessary purchases that harm the environment. That’s why I offer some items from my collection—pillows, blankets, baskets, tablecloths, table textiles, and some tableware.
Once the final concept and shopping list are approved, I begin assembling all the decor pieces while keeping you updated, especially if some items cost more than initially planned. When necessary, I collaborate with professional florists—I have excellent craftsmen on my team.
On the event day I deliver everything to the venue and set up all the decor before your arrival and that of your guests. Then, we can start enjoying the celebration and capturing the atmosphere and emotions in photographs!
At the end of the event, I also handle the dismantling of the decor, so you can focus on enjoying the positive vibes without any extra hassle.
